Breast Cancer Diagnosis
At this time, all we knew was my cancer on the right breast is positive, and it is metastatic because of the spread to the lymph nodes. However, we got additional lab results from the biopsy the next day, revealing I am triple negative.
The Waiting Game — Drinking from a firehose
Triple-negative breast cancer is considered more aggressive, has a poorer prognosis than other types of breast cancer, and is more likely to spread beyond the breast and more likely to recur (come back) after treatment.
